My daughters went to a Pumpkin Painting thing a couple of weeks ago. They both picked white pumpkins to paint. My younger one ended up painting hers orange! (She had a reason, but it’s still funny.)
Originally Jack-o-lanterns were carved out turnips or potatoes with a candle inside – a true lantern. Our Jacks are much more fun and some real pieces of art even if termporary.
