I dated a woman with post-traumatic stress disorder from a civilian tragedy. It’s not something ever goes away. It’s like an addiction to a bad memory. All you can do is live with it. (Please, no jokes.)
I know a lot of guys from that war (take your pick). Many of them are still struggling. Some of them put an end to it on their own. Too many.
I’m not sure there can ever be a decent soultion for them, even with help from the VA and/or private services. You can’t unsee it, you can’t unlive it.
My hat’s off to Trudeau for his ongoing efforts on behalf of the troops. He has NEVER allowed his politics to interfere with his passion and compassion for the men and women in uniform.

A visit from Phred would help out, especially if he does some Cole Porter.

A nice reminder that B.D. would have been too old to serve in the Gulf War.

As I read the first panel I was thinking, “Damn! Wasn’t BD in ’Nam, too?” At least my memory isn’t slipping.
