The most painful option could’ve been not getting the shot.
Got the “super duper for old folks” shot again this year, I guess that’s my future.
With the amount of hair on my arms, for me it’s ALWAYS the band-aid!
This year’s flu shot was uber painful for some reason. Probably got some staph on that needle.
As a USAF flyer for over thirty years, my shot record is four 8×1/2 by 11 pages long, from plague to anthrax. Flu shots never hurt. Tetanus and yellow fever, on the other hand…

No bandaid with my flu shot (first one in years), but my arm itched for 4 or 5 days.
The only painful part of my shot was waiting my turn. It helps that my arms are bald.
