Preparing everything ahead of time and sending everyone a beatuifultly prepared plate with all the trimmings and dessert, plus extra for seconds and thirds.

That idea is actually quite brilliant, especially for the single person, stuck at home. :)

That actually looks like a good idea! Of course, we don’t observe Thanksgiving* in the UK unless it’s to give thanks for those troublemaking puritans leaving the country!

But we’ve recently acquired Black Friday for some reason.

Oh, and Monty? It’s “un petit” or “une petite”!

We are planning to video chat, like everyone else. We decided to make this year totally nontraditional. Each family has a different theme (ours is a day at the beach) and we have to come up with dishes and decorations to fit. Hopefully this will start new traditions.

Was fun trying to find a small turkey. Who the heck needs a 20lb turkey this year?

I miss getting stuffed potatoes that were in vogue during the eighties…

I mastered social distancing many years ago. A cornish game hen works out nicely.

I know it goes without saying…but you are not required to have turkey on Thanksgiving. It’s traditional, but you can celebrate and give thanks any way you want: whether it’s a barbecue, or a steak dinner, or just a sip of the bubbly, even a PB&J sandwich… it’s all good

so instead of turducin he’s having a turspud?

Or better yet, remember you’re an American and resist.

Why not do a Cornish Hen in an oven or deep fryer if you are so inclined.

As a bachelor, I appreciate everything about this suggestion except that it needs about seven more kinds of vegetables :)

LITTLE turkeys have become a fad this Thanksgiving, I heard on TV.

The first couple years after my ex & I broke up, Thanksgiving was frozen pizza.

There’s just 3 of us and we decided to order Peking Duck, special fried rice, and crab rangoons for our meal. Since they’re closed on Thanksgiving Day, we’re having our feast the day before (Wednesday).
