    I know this is rhetorical, but . . .

You do it so that itā€™s not difficult anymore.

For a six year-old, Calvinā€™s gotta be in the top one tenth of 1% for vocabulary.

Watterson is able to build his rhymes with a musical meter where the lines have the same number of syllables and the emphasis of syllables follows a common pattern. I donā€™t know what thatā€™s called, but it looks hard.

I hate it when a six year old can use aphorism in a sentence and I canā€™t.

So, tigers only eat fresh kills? And they ignore leftovers? How does a tuna fish sandwich fit into that food model?

Maybe Calvin has to hang the sandwich from string in a tree, poke it with a stick, and hide.

I think Hobbes made a very important point here. Until you focus and work hard, you would not survive in this world. Bright little stuffed tiger there.
