I always wondered, why is it always devils who people are making deals with? Doesn’t anyone ever consider that the angels might offer good deals, too?

Looks like Niel deGrasse Tyson has been editing Jason’s solar system mobile.

I’m betting this book was one of those printed in the 80’s and repackaged/sold a few times. I saw several of them in my elementary school and local library. Stuff Jason wants to do was what Penn & Teller, Siegfried & Roy or (more likely) a recent break out star Criss Angel.

I’ve never sold my soul to the devil, but I have worked for him.

Jason is too much seeing this through the prism of comics, movies, etc. Proof the media DOES warp our minds.

The levitating girl on the back of the book falls in the third panel.

“Crowley had been extremely impressed with the warranties offered by the computer industry, and had in fact sent a bundle Below to the department that drew up the Immortal Soul agreements, with a yellow memo form attached just saying: ‘Learn, guys.’”—Good Omens, by Gaiman & Pratchett

Just because he’s a science geek doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe in magic. And the devil.

Brickstone must be a bit of a nod to Harry Blackstone (and his son).
