Tom Toles for October 19, 2009
Transcript:
Wall St. Executive: I know we nearly destroyed the economy. And that millions are unemployed as a result. And that taxpayers bailed us out to the tune of a trillion dollars. But we feel terrible! We've learned our lesson! We won't do it again! Don't regulate us! Uncle Sam: Really? Okay. Wall St. Exec: How was that performance? Exec 2: He bought it. And paid for it.

Every Toles character is a rough triangle. I do not know what this means.

Instead of giving them money for their performance, they should be given the same type of recognition that us peons get: a plaque, a 10 minute ceremony in the office, complete with coffee and donuts, and then it’s back to work. Maybe an Oscar, but no money.
