Really..would kids say “Holiday Season” today. Seems very PC. I would of thought they would say “It’s Christmas time”, or “Hanukkah” depending on their culture. I’m not Jewish, so that’s probably wrong.
I get Katy’s enthusiasm this year. Normally I’m not in the spirit until just before the day. This year I’ve started early. Got all my shopping done and considering what I want to bake and who to give it to. We all need a little ray of sunshine now and then. Katy’s may be a bit over the top, but look who we’re talking about….
I’m surprised he’s so calm. There is NO WAY to get that confetti out of his coffee! Maybe better than second-hand glitter but in coffee it’s melting into an indistinguishable mush. That’s just coffee abuse!
In just 8 days (12/15) the living room becomes the living room again and is available to start over decorating. On January 15 it all has to come down as it becomes husband’s “loom room” again until next December. I have cheated and moved weaving related items I know he will not need – large boxes of finished pieces, bags of items we use at craft shows and such to the corners of our main studio (which this year is also serving as the excess canned and jarred – and some packaged foods storage, so I have no work table in same, but I have to make sure we have access to my work table). I will probably start on the dining room (which I cleared out of extraneous items – other than 3 large boxes of food items which have to be kept boxed so they do not attract bugs or mice – for Thanksgiving dinner) and front hall ahead of the 15th as they are not part of the agreement.

Exuberance is wonderful but can be messy. This can lead to conflict with anyone who got your exuberance in their coffee, or mouth.

Take advantage of her mood, Adam. There must be a few more household chores that need doing.
