I’m sorry to say this, but Pop-Tarts are the biggest gastronomic disappointment I have ever experienced in my life.

In the TV ads they looked like wonderful, flaky pastries filled with delicious fruit jam/preserves. So I bought a box. But they turned out to be dry and unappetizing, the filling also dry and impossibly sweet. And the worst thing was the icing… that was disgusting.

But I figured out that maybe I got it from a bad batch, so several months later I tried again, this time a different flavor… Same story.

I see this things have been around since 1964. I can’t understand why.
