My 5 brothers all played organized sports starting in the 6th grade. I don’t remember either of my parents going to their games, not even when the boys were in high school. Nobody seemed to think it unusual, at the time, that my parents weren’t there.

I never had this problem with my dad. I was too small and slow for organized sports, so there were never any games to go to.
