Some would do nothing and let the backlog diminish, some would build the backlog at the same pace and others would continue working but not build the backlog so much. You have to decide what to do. Not deciding is also a decision.
The way to shake new ideas around in your brain is to get out and do something different. Talk to people. Read a new genre. Take long walks. Keep a notepad by your bed. Three months of work would have already used the “low-hanging fruit”.
And later that month, still nothing? You could always do what Lennie does and just run the same one the next day and just put another Ginger in the comic.
