I have always really liked the drawing style used in this comic. And, I have always especially liked the drawings of both Mutt & Jeff. At first, I was not sure if colorized would be good or not…. but I find the colorist really enhances the good that is already inherent in the drawings!!!
In World War II gasoline was rationed as were many other items, meat being one of them. You needed coupons to get gas. I think they were 1, 2, and 5 gallon coupons with a monthly limit of amount of gasoline you could buy.
