Also lands in the Lowe’s part of the grass. Where the water settles.

As a paper carrier, the harder it was raining the longer the path was from the car to house. I put the paper inside the storm door to keep it dry.

Why don’t they put it in the mailbox? Here in Denmark we have a kind of open metal pipe under the mailbox, which is for papers, ads etc. I always wondered why they throw the papers into the front yards like that, when I saw it in movies.

Do they use the hooks or they still throw the paper?

I am still in “paper” mode. Our news paper is at teh bottom of our long driveway-in a plastic bag. It’s been so dry here we aren’t worried about it.

What is this news “paper” of which you speak?

A plugger is the one who still gets the newspaper.

A Plugger knows when you can NOT have a phone few if any will call to see if you are holding up. And A Plugger knows that a shoe can NOT run by itself, especially if Popeye’s granny can’t put her foot init like she always does with her collared greens.

We have a paper holder under the mailbox at the end of the driveway. On REALLY rainy days they double-wrap the paper in 2 plastic sleeves.
