Petey’s having none of it…

“But, it’s still leaning a little. Hold it upright, Peter, until we load up the decorations on 1 side, then we’ll take from there!”

It also requires Peter Sr. to hold it straight or it sags. We had a tree like that last year. LOL

a Lovecraftian tree? “The Tinsel Out of Time”! Beware of Shub-"Nog"erath!

I remember this happening in our family. One year, dad had to tie a string to near the top of the tree and to something over to the side to get the tree straight up and down… ☺

Was doing that this year and after it was decorated it stood for about an hour, then the darn thing fell and broke numerous balls, spilling a pool of water…..bought a mucho dollaro artificial tree, first one ever….it looks like the real thing…it’s beautiful. Yet, it’ll never be like the real thing…

Looks tree-dimensional to me.

Only Petey understands.

Perhaps they should be using polar coordinates.

Petey’s reaction in the last corner of the last panel is spot-on. Parents attempting to make a silk purse out of thet sow’s ear-tree are pretty sad to watch. Alice is unusually reflective….
