Queen Elizabeth I of England, Queen Victoria of England, Catherine the Great of Russia, Cleopatra of ancient Egypt, Marie Curie, co-discoverer of radium , Agnes Macphail, Canadian suffragette, Rosa Parks, Civil Rights icon. I know there are others but these are the first that came to my mind. (I’m Canadian so I’m not terribly familiar with the American suffragette movement, or the women who worked to end slavery)
Right off the bat I can think of a couple gals named Mary. Then there’s Sara, she was the mother of a nation, and Rebekah who helped lead that nation out of bondage.
I think this is the first time I can remember that Luann was interested in something she learned at school. I wish they’d shown that sort of thing later on in the strip.

Not that much attention, Tom was the one man looked at her and was blinded for it, hence the term ‘Peeping Tom’!

Here’s four more women, of a more ‘secular’ nature. 1. Messalina 2. Theodora 3. Madam Curie 3. Alexandra Kollantai
