I first read that as “knocked on a door with a dachshund”, which made for an arresting mental image over my morning cup of tea.
And they haven’t got for breaking and entering yet.
Oh, yeah! Go get ‘im, Wally! Then again, maybe if Santa brought dog treats, he’d get a warmer welcome from the canine residents.
So you don’t bark at people that come in through the chimney? Good to know.
If you’re really expecting Santa, wouldn’t it be good to NOT have a fire?
