Aren ‘t we going to learn more about Hoogy’s parents? Perhaps some of our longer time readers can fill us in. We now know that her mother died in childbirth and that Boog was named for his maternal grandfather. Is he alive or dead and did he raise Hoogy or was she raised by another relative? When was she first introduced to the strip? The first time I saw her was when she was in an on-again off-again relationshiip with Rover who had been her childood friend. At the time, he was more interested in Delicia.

Also, I hope Aunt Jeremiah figures into the story.

I believe Hoogy goes back as far as 1997 in the strip. See http://kinnexions.com/reunion/wallet/fh01_001.htm#P46F36 I haven’t found an on-line source of 1997 strips, though.

When Rover meets Hoogy for the first time since they were young, she tells him her father is dead.

Hoogy was introduced as a child, following her father around on his various adventures. Figure mid- to late-1980s as she’s about Rover’s age. She was absent from the strip for several years before resurfacing as an adult and mentioning that her father had passed away.

Hello Paul, thanks for the information.Have you written any side stories for this strip lately? Or hasn’t it gotten slow enough to inspire you?

Everyone knows that Aunt Jemimah pancakes are the flatest of them all. If you are tired of all those fat, chunky pancakes, buy Aunt Jemimah’s! Pancakes so thin you can slide them under the door!

Aunt Jeremiah pancakes sound like a gloomy way to start the day. Especially if they’re flat.
