Funny thing about coffee and me! I can drink it all day and still fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow!! Now IF I drink a Coke or a Pepsi – up all night!!
Your ethnic background can influence how coffee and caffeine affects you. People with a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern heritage are often more sensitive to caffeine. A single cup of coffee may be plenty for these folks. Although espresso is often associated with this area, a single serving is actually lower in caffeine than a standard cup of coffee. At the other end of the spectrum are Northern Europeans. These are often the people who consume more coffee throughout the day, with few adverse effects. Being of good Finnish stock, I’m one of those who sips coffee all day long. Back in college I could drink coffee all night while studying, or hanging out with friends. I think it was more the action of drinking coffee, rather than the effects of caffeine that kept me awake. When it’s time for bed I fall right to sleep.
I use to have to stop drinking coffee, coke, Pepsi by noon or I was up all night. For some crazy reason, it doesn’t bother me any more. What changed other than my age??? Beats me.

What are you drinking it’s not coffee , it’s dirty water . The real coffee for a good morning is an Espresso .

I can attest that your daughter-in-law having her car reposessed overnight and finding it out at 5 AM does, and did wake up the whole house.

Actually I love a good black coffee. I have one in the morning and another in the evening before bed.

Boy can I ever relate to this one. I don’t even feel human until I’ve had my morning coffee.

That was my cue to make coffee, but that doesn’t look like coffee.

Perhaps that’s his problem, Brutus is too alert. He may be better off in a more somnolent state.
