If only this was math class…
what was even the question?
It’d be interesting to see the career path Peppermint Patty’s headed for thanks to her cluenessness and indifference with which she approaches her schooling. ;D
Louis XVI minus Head equals?
At least P Patty is good at simple math!
Patty, the mother of royal arithmetic. Royal calculus and royal analysis to follow in the next two strips
Monarchy…where even math fails to work.
A for effort, PP!
Louis II, “The Stammerer”. Ruled what is now France for two unremarkable years. Not exactly a big topic of conversation for a grade school kid
It was a good answer. Unfortunately it wasn’t the right answer.
If you saw Henry the Eighth twice you could say you saw Henry the Sixteenth
Oh, I thought the difference was Philip II; Remember him — the Augustus?
How about you try this for Pope Paul XVI and Pope John Paul II?
Well at least she can do math in her head. A lot of kids can’t.
If you turn it around, do you get King Louis the negative second?
Does Peppermint Patty have ADHD or is she just lazy?
She actually got 16 – 14 correct
When I was that age we didn’t even cover French history in school.
No, no, you’ve got to subtract the Louis as well. So Louis the Sixteenth minus Louis the Fourteenth is still the Second.
I wonder if Peppermint was thinking about King Louie???
“He was worse than Louis the Fifteenth…”etc.
“Do I at least get points for creativity, ma’am?”
About as much as I wanted to know. Good answer.
If you subtract the French King’s head from his body you get the French Revolution, right?
What ever, she can get a sports scholarship.
No. If you subtract Louie II there is no Louie XIV or Louie XVI……
No, you get Napoleon.
What was the question? Was it a math or a history question? Or, as this is Peppermint Patty, was it a grammar question?
Me, too!
