There’s a Bugs Bunny cartoon where Yosemite Sam yells “Open the Door!” and Sam says "You notice I didn’t say “Richard.” Few people got the joke by the ’60s. This was cited by one of the WB crew as to why they avoided most current references in their work.

Second time we had that Richard song. Must be the 1940s. Mutt’s parrot loves the Roaring ’20s.
