Hearing aids, glasses and mask straps. My ears aren’t big enough for all of them. Without the hearing aid, I can’t hear from 6 feet away, with the mask on someone else, I can’t read lips. I gave up the hearing aids, because I am afraid that taking off the mask will cause them to be flung into the air and lost. Thank God for closed captions. I’m sure looking forward to normal life again.
I’m the “hearing aid” for my mother. Her “ear buds” just make things blare more; they don’t make things clearer. I even tried resorting to an antique ear horn for her - she loves it, but it’s cumbersome to carry around. ;)

My oldest brother has a hearing aid but to make sure he learned to read lips.

Not sure I would have understood many words with or without any hearing aids. I need an understanding aid when it comes to this stuff.
