I always thought it would be cruel and unusual punishment to have inmates in the New Hampshire state prison being forced to print “Live Free or Die” on licence plates all day long…
We were stationed in Portsmouth NH. way back when. It was a nice place. Close to Boston for good shopping, but also easy to get out into the woods and lakes. The only down side is most of the coastal area is completely urban/metro. You never are out of the cities, and the traffic can rival So.Cal. at times. And yes we were stationed there to.
This is the schizophrenic situation for my local tourist town, Morro Bay, because of the pandemic. If you could just drop off you money in a sterile bag and sleep in your car, that would really be best for everyone. :) :(

Here’s to the state made of granite,
And God, who created it, ran it.
Compared to which Maine
Is mosquitoes and rain,
And Vermont is a whole other planet.

Especially if you are from neighboring states coming here to shop tax free.
Or visiting a state liquor store located on the interstate (I95 and I93)
You just need that Granite State of Mind

I read “A Libertarian Walks Into A Bear” this winter. Makes the sign seem benign.

Vermont is friendlier once you have at least two generations IN THE GROUND.

I love New Hampshire. I have lived here since I was nine years old. I will live and die here.
