It is a little late for an NDA. Typically you would have the person or legal company representative sign one prior to work on the project in question. Asking someone to sign on upon departure without appropriate compensation would not hold up in court. That is one of the reason severance packages are given out. They are the compensation for you upholding the NDA and can often be revoked if you break the NDA.
