Due to some . . . oddities (or maybe dumb luck) in our house’s design, our bathroom is the 2nd warmest room in the house, next to my son’s room which, sharing a common wall with the bathroom “benefits” from the same design oddities, and his massive gaming PC/space heater.
I used to be hot all the time – I would not wear a winter coat until it was in the 40Fs and did not zip the coat closed until in the 20Fs.
Then just about simultaneously and unrelated I went through menopause and lost weight. Since then I am FREEZING ALL THE TIME- and I do mean ALL the time. I had figured that if I am cold I just put on sweatshirt – NO – if one does when it is 80F outside one gets heat stroke – found that out the hard way.
Even though we have the heat on at night I am sleeping with 3 blankets, fully dressed in long sleeved tee shirt and old jeans and heavy socks – and lately have add a sweatshirt. Going to the bathroom once in bed and warmed up and is a BIG decision as I will be freezing – even with fuzzy slippers on I am freezing again as soon as I get out of bed.
What I really love is my husband will take my hand just to hold it and then say to me “Your hand is like ice!” and I point out to him that I keep saying I am cold.

Put slippers on, or have heating coils installed in under the tile.
