You can’t just decide to change someone’s mentality. Even with their consent, it has to happen naturally. And I don’t see this approach working. So my new plan is to give Dakota a Shield of Boringness so that people don’t notice that she’s not actually shallow.
It is an interesting question … I was raised not to particularly care about popularity, and not to crave that sort of external validation. However, it took some time and certainly I am not immune to feeling rejected. So, for someone who had embraced that – how do you change yourself? I’m certain one can, but I’m curious how.
