What’s the big dill?

It’s a good thing it isn’t called egg ball.

to come up with that brainstorm they must’ve been pickled…

Never heard of “Pickleball”. The closest I have seen to that is in baseball. I will have to look it up. Until then I am in a…a, oh what’s the word? Oh yes, a conundrum.

The characters in “Working Daze”, who work in a tech company, play Pickleball…

it’s assumed you know the game, so I figured it must be me… being so disinterested in sports that I’d never heard of it…

along with the other game they play…. Cornhole.

So I Googled them both….

Pickleball is played on a badminton court, with a ball that ressembles a Whiffle ball and solid wood paddles …

sort of table tennis, badminton and tennis combined.

NOT my cup of tea, being completely non-athletic.

Cornhole is more or less the same as what we called “Bean bag toss” but with a standardized target board, and “regulation” size bags filled with dried corn instead of beans.

Since then, I’ve asked people I know, and NONE had heard of either game…

but then, few of us are young people who work in stores and offices, where such teams are assembled.

One of the inventors recently passed.

A misunderstanding. It was supposed to be a different kind of “ball”, with the dance band playing Dill Pickle Rag.

Isn’t “Pickle” AKA “Keep Away” ?

Pickle ball is to tennis as sodoku is to crosswords.

While looking up information on pickleball, I saw an for pickleballs at Kohl’s, a carton of 100 for $200.00. I won’t be playing pickleball anytime soon, even though we have the courts.

I use to play pickle ball in high school. I was about the only thing I played in PE that I was any good at. I was the underclassman that took on both upperclassmen TAs and beat them. I did have a partner, but he didn’t do much. They were mad that I made them look bad, because I was bad at everything else and so they figured they could beat us easily. At first one of them tried it by himself and was badly beaten, lol.
