If Junior is in his early teens, Bub is around my age – or younger. I am 50 – I don’t see this scenario as realistic.
Despite being just a Postgraduate in English, I have never had any problems with technology or its advancements. I still keep up with the latest apps and hardware. It’s definitely not rocket science, unless you are expected to do programming or something that demands specialised skills. I still routinely root my Android phone and build my own PCs – you just need to be alive to learning and keeping up. [I hope that didn’t come out as a rant!]
No need to run it all through a desk top unless you need a bigger screen to see what is going on. It is time to uninstall some apps, or get a newer phone (they always get you into the store, don’t they).
OK, first, they seem to be talking about storage, not memory, and second, I think the kid left out a couple of steps. I think it should be 1) Do a backup (which I think means backup what’s on the phone, that isn’t the OS or installed program, but what is still needed or wanted, to the computer) 2) Delete what was backed up in step 1 (a missing step) 3) Download the install to the phone and run it, which I’m assuming is an OS or program update and 4) Restore that which was backed up in step 1, hopefully not again overflowing the available storage (a second missing step).

It’s probably time to remove most of your thousands of photos and videos.

The problem with being tech-savvy is you automatically become the IT support person for everyone else. There is nothing I hate more.
