The only problem is there are way more health issues with soda pop than there are with wine. If he wants to push carbonated sugar water, that’s up to him. I would rather enjoy the medicinal value of wines, beer and Bailey’s, used in moderation, of course.
The reason wines and alcohol were so popular was that water itself was sometimes not safe to drink. And I don’t know how medieval folks handled not having coffee. Mead every morning? Ugh.
I have liked wine that was inexpensive and thought to be ordinary. I have also left expensive wine that was recommended (with a long list of adjectives describing its taste, appearance and smell) as excellent unfinished on the table. With beer, the more highly an ‘artisan beer’ is, the less probable I will like it.
There once was a TV show in Germany where people could place bets that they could do this or that. Two guys betted they could recognize every German brand of mineral water by its taste, and won.
Mc Donalds???? He must be kidding. Mexican Coke available in the Southwest is the absolute best. I’s still made with sugar and not High fructose corn syrup
There is a wisdom in this one – if you aren’t willing to continue to get better at what you do, it may not be what you want to get paid for as a living.

I know nothing about wines, and I don’t care. I just drink them. Same with beer.

In our town, nobody’s seen the inside of a McDonald’s in almost a year.
