and people still haven’t learned 50 years after this strip was released – that marketing/advertising/government/maybe even a FROG can spin/lie about anything to make it sound like you will get what you want IF you do what they say!!!! (create the false dream/utopia or pretend to solve the made-up crisis/fear so they get what they want – money/control of situations/people) just enough possible truths to create the perfect recipe for their desired outcome. we live in this made-up world with Blanche every day. Hart had a way of making us ‘laugh/smile’ at our own self-delusions, while still “not getting it”. js

Once upon a time there was a handsome priest who was turned into an amphibian by a wicked witch and one day he’s sitting on his lily pad catching passing flies when a beautiful princess comes along and kisses him to turn him back into a handsome priest. What? You’ve never heard of a defrogged priest?

This version is more believable than the fairy tale.

This particular episode is one that I remember reading many years ago and it stuck in my head as a pretty good joke.
