Alberta is not going to be happy about this, even though there are two other pipelines.

Why on Gods green acres would America want sludge from Canada? Doesn’t make sense to me!

Odd, it’s over half the distance from the oil sands to the West Coast vs the Gulf Coast, why doesn’t pipeline route through B.C.?

Sorry, but even though I didn’t buy Trump’s version of “America First” I still do not feel that the U.S. is obligated to benefit the economies of foreign countries.

Is that supposed to be Trudeau? Looks a bit more like Fidel Castro to me, which caused me some initial confusion.

There are lots and lots of Canadians (perhaps fewer in Alberta) who are environmentally aware, who are especially unhappy with tar-sand oil,and who are happy enough to see the demise of Keystone XL. (It’s not as if KXL will make or break society’s addiction to fossil fuels, though—there are lots of other pipelines, and long trains.)

When I was a kid, Venezuela’s oil, though plentiful, was considered to be too crude to refine.
