Always have a clear idea what you are looking for. It helps to first make a list of what features you want and how much you are willing to pay. Put all the items in a list of importance, including putting the price in it’s proper place in the list. *Then*"go shopping". You’ll have a much better chance of getting what you want at the price you’re willing to pay.

Just go to Walmart and buy one. You can look it over in person and make sure it’s what you want. And you get it today.

Pay for a good cast iron one, treat it properly, and it’ll probably outlive your children.

I would like a pan that actually works like the non-stick ones they show on tv.

Just went through the same thing. The old pan was shot. I was looking for one online, a ton of choices to make. Then the wife got back from shopping and had bought a pan. Issue solved.

Yes, it is. When you only had 3-4 choices in your tribe, the decision was easy. With thousands of choices, it’s no wonder the birth rate is dropping. Perfection is only 87353 swipes away!

yea… if your pan “goes bad”, you paid too much for it. Look at carbon steel or cast iron. Take proper care of it, and your grandkids will still be able to use it.

I have an unused spare, bought on sale, just in case of a frying pan emergency.

When my last pan was in this state, I picked one up at the grocery store, bearing the house brand. I figured it would do until I got a really good one. It turns out to be better than the old one ever was.

I’m neither a foodie nor a fancy chef. My $40 Calphalon aluminum pan with a non-stick coating from BB&B works just perfectly for my use, thank you, and it cleans up with a couple of swipes.
