At the end of a tough day in my early days of skiing, I took a nice big jump perfectly. I finally felt great about my skiing as I soared through the air (right under the ski lift, of course). Then I realized that when I took off, I heard two clicks…
Mammoth lift tickets were in the $ teens when I was skiing.(1970s). Now add at least $100 to that. Besides, I dunno what condition my knees are in these days.
People who take too much unnecessary bodily risk deserve to be seriously injured eventually. If you can’t learn defensive tactics during a sport, it’s as stupid as figure skating.
