Drove in a near white out once. The only thing that kept on the road was a dim pair of tail lights on a semi and the thought of I had no idea what was behind me. It was a had-to trip that I will never do again.
All of this is fascinating to me being from Tennessee. I married a Michigan gal and was visiting my in-laws one Christmas and realized that shoveling snow from one’s driveway was a nasty chore that I had never had to do.
The best thing you can hope for driving on the small windy roads of Vermont in a bad snow storm is to find you’re driving behind a plow truck. Things like that make your day if you have to live in it for many months at a time.
we got a total of 16 inches between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon. And I heard we are supposed to be getting more tomorrow. UGH! Winter stinks

Nothing like driving through a white-out and having whoever’s riding shotgun checking to make sure you’re still on the road!

Seems that it would be a lot better to wait till summer to travel from that far north.
