I’m pretty sure these are Society Finches… one of the many color variations. The dark upper bill and lighter lower bill are often found in domestic finches.
And domestic the Society Finches are, created by selective breeding to thrive in captivity.
That makes their musings about being in or out of a hypothetical jungle all the more poignant.

Animals PROPERLY cared for in captivity actually are safer, healthier, & even happier & more long lived than in the wild & “free”.
