Since the Pacific ocean is narrowing by that same rate of 1.5 inches per year; in a mere 2,323,200 years the 55 mile gap o the Bering Strait will close and Alaska will make contact with Siberia
Mr Ford also worked a a carpenter in the 60s. He was on a crew that did a remodel of my grandparents’ house in the late 1960s. He was also the last actor in the old studio system.
Thanks for the kind words Steve Silver! My joke du jour has to do with a elderly Jewish man who was browsing around the butcher shop. He stopped, pointed at some cuts in the case and asked the butcher “How much are these veal cuts”? The butcher says “Those are pork chops”! The Jewish man angrily responds with..“Did I ask you vat it vas”? Adios Muchachos!
The Atlantic expanding is actually the Mid-Atlantic Ridge expanding due to plate tectonics. A portion of the ridge is on land in Iceland and the walls of the rift valley of Þingvellir are moving apart at about 7 mm a year. It also causes the floor of the valley to subside at the rate of about 1 mm a year. You can actually see it and straddle the North American and Eurasian plates.

Some cities are more concerned with the height than the width.

The Beatles account for 25% of all albums sold.
The further from Europe the better.

Roadies were the gateway to the band for the groupies. Lots of quid pro quo.

That’s because of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Not very impressive, I get wider than that every year (or so it seems)…
