In my parents’ home, the rule not to feed table scraps came from my mother. I agreed with her, but my dad and one sister consistently fed the dogs scraps and Dad was the worst offender. He loved tossing some of his TV snacks to the dogs.
Newton drools if he thinks he might get food or a treat but what’s worse is the trail of puddles he leaves on the floor after drinking from his water bowl. Our mop hasn’t seen the inside of the closet in almost six years.
Mr Basset knows his Labradors – my last one would sit by the dinner table patiently awaiting his turn for scraps with long stringers touching the floor…we should’ve put a vinyl mat down!
