If there’s a better name than Thelonious Monk, I don’t know it.
One of our cats, 1995 – 2011, was renamed Melodious Thonk after a most propitious jump onto a piano keyboard. Rip Melly.I successfully auditioned for my high school jazz band with an arrangement of “Round Midnight” on bassoon. Thanks Mr Jacquet.
Thankfully, we live in an age of good recording technology.
