He didn’t hit him, he pushed him back. This is such BS! Dean was in the right defending himself after his bigger cousin shoved him! And I don’t want to hear ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’ garbage!

Hey Dean, good job. Sticking up for your friends was worth the sacrifice.

This is why bullies get away with everything! In the first place, Dean didn’t hit the kid, he shoved him. Furthermore, he shoved him BACK. He was assaulted first. What else was he supposed to do? But peacenik Mom is going to punish him anyway. Meanwhile, bullies are taught to be bullies by bully parents who stand up for their kids, right or wrong. Dean needed his dad there. This is also the reason kids need a mother AND a father in the home. Dean’s dad would have handled it differntly, I’m sure.

So what did Mom want him to do, just let his cousin push him around without defending himself? Does she really think Sean would have stopped at just a push? I would guess her sister is also a bully and Mom is afraid of her and will just let her sister’s kid push her kid around and not say anything. Thanks, Mom.

A shove back will stand up as self-defense in any court in the land… Except the Court of Mom.

Now he has an enemy for life. And is a relative. As usual.

Um…what? The brat shoved him first, Dean defends himself and the brat screams. So she grounds Dean? Yeah, no. I mean, he doesn’t get a ticker-tape parade and there is certainly a conversation, but grounded? Not with this fact pattern.

Everyone there would have been able to tell mom that the brat attacked first, and Dean only shoved him back in self-defense, not hit him. Steenz should be ashamed of herself.

Around here, they weren’t allowed to start it.

Got a call from the school. Your son hit another student. me: Why? School: the student hit him with a rock. Me: and you’re calling me why? School: He was fighting. Me: No, he was defending himself. If he ever starts a fight, then call me and I’ll take care of it.

And all the preceding happened while Mom and Sister were having a kaffeekatsch.

I hope Mom took Dean’s side with the Sister. Otherwise, the sister is just as much a bully as her son.
