Cold nose is a given for a healthy (albeit snotty) dog. Cold heart works better for me. I’m thinking Cathy’s ‘beer belly’ is her fanny pack, but I like beer belly better.
My cats are always thrilled when we get home. They keep us awake for at least a week walking all over us and demanding attention. As much as I’m happy to see them, it’s frustrating to lose any rest that I might have gotten on vacation.
My dog has such a sweet nature that she’s completely incapable of holding a grudge. Whether we’ve been gone 5 minutes or 5 hours, she’s always happy to see us when we return! The one thing we’ve never done, though, was run off on any kind of a trip without her — even over-night. If she can’t go with us, then we don’t go because it wouldn’t be a true “family” vacation without her!

@Marcus Payne these are rerun strips – the strip ended last(?) year after they got married.
And a dog would never give you a cold shoulder! A cat on the other hand…@ lightenup I think you have the exception! :)
