I’m with Thorny. I want the yolk to be runny when you take the point of the toast to it. No greasy spoon I’ve been to has ever screwed that up, but my mother had on occasion.

Before work one morning I went into a chain restaurant (not saying which one I hopped into) and requested eggs over medium. They came out and the white part was runny. I complained, they offered to remake my breakfast but I had to get to work. When she went to get the bill for my coffee I skipped out without paying. I went back about 2 weeks later (last time I went there) and they still didn’t get it right, but at least the white part was cooked.

I have heard that crispy bacon is burnt bacon. Is that true? (I have never eaten nor prepared bacon.)

If he wanted his bacon and eggs that way, he would have had his wife cook breakfast for him. Hmm. Maybe she got a part time morning job…….

Nothing quite like slimy, uncooked bacon. I’m not saying it’s good, I’m just saying there’s nothing quite like it.
