    Joyce also imbibed a wine he dubbed, if I remember rightly from Richard Ellemann’s biography, the “Duchess’s Piss”. He also preferred the Dublin produced Jameson over the Bushmills product made in Northern Ireland, claiming that the polluted Liffey water was superior to the St. Columb’s Rill for whiskey making.
