Don’t sweat it, Pepper. I’ve gotten both my doses of COVID shots and it was absolutely nothing to be scared of :)

Sterilize – same as sanitizing (I know places have to sanitize everything like tables after being used by vaccinated and not yet fully vaccinated with the COVID vaccine people nowadays)?

Just give it a shot… The COVID vaccine, that is. The kids getting their ears pierced without adult permission is just a bad idea.

Why are you talking sexually transmitted diseases?

My daughters wouldn’t get their ears pierced until 16, and that’s the ONLY part of them to get pierced, and my sons wouldn’t get ANY part of them pierced.

Back in the 80’s, I was on vaca with a group of friends and one was hemming and hawing about getting pierced ear. Finally another friend said she would get another one if he would get one, so he agreed. While they were waiting at the front of the mall shop for them to set up, a crowd developed to watch. A woman came over and said, “You waiting for an ear pierced? I had that done to me and it was the most painful thing ever!” My friend, of Asian descent, turned white, but he didn’t walk away.

They came over to do it and the woman doing it said, “I missed!” Turned out that it was her first time and she didn’t do it right. They gave him the pierced ear for free and offered it to any of the crowd for free if that woman could practice on them.

Later, my 6 friends (3 mail, 3 female) and I were driving and someone pointed out that I was the only person in the car who didn’t have a pierced ear. Never did get one.

I’m not big on shots. Or piercings.

I’m with Marcie. When my students told me I needed a tattoo, I replied that I intended to get out of this world without being punctured or branded (ie pierced or tattooed)

Ladies, there are some things you don’t tell certain friends.

If I knew I could catch a “mild cellulitis infection” by getting my ears pierced, I would never have done it!!

I am allergic to penicillin.

penicillin shots hurt a LOT! actually I had them in my infancy and the doctor gave me a present for each shot!
