How I miss my mother too; at least I have my stepmother who came three years later.

My mother passed away 20 years ago this month, almost 8 years to the day after my father died. I don’t think there’s a day that goes by that I don’t think about here. We might have had our disagreements and differing points of view, but she was always a good mother who did her best for her kids.

Family stories are the BEST!

At my age, I frequently have gunky, runny eyes most of the morning. There’s nothing like tears to wash them out properly. I seem to have mostly had a conflicted relationship with my mother but thinking back I know she did as best as she could. I don’t think I ever properly grieved her passing a number of years ago but I will try harder to properly honor her memory. After losing my father earlier this year at the age of 101, I know he always greatly missed her after her untimely passing. It was painful for him to live alone in their house in Paterson, NJ until he entered a nursing home nearly 8 years ago.

My Mom is where she asked to be. I scattered her ashes in her favorite fishing hole on the old home place where she grew up. Yes, I miss her.

My Mother died when I was 2, I never really knew her and don’t remember her My wife died 8 weeks ago and I remember the day we met and the day our son was born and all of the things in the 34 years up to the day she died . All of these “firsts” now are really hard, love them while you have them.

How lovely! I look forward to hearing more of this story. ❤️❤️❤️

Well, they made Sergio take out his ring, but for now we haven’t seen any attempt to date again
