Brewster, first you have to be smart enough to be aware you’re in a hopeless situation.

Because Brewster is space strip, my mind drifted to…Ferengi accountant. I then googled those two words, see what comes up. One hit was on the ‘Rules of Acquisition’, one of which reads “A wife is a luxury. A good accountant is a necessity”

And what’s really irksome is that it’s all totally unnecessary; the feds and states already have all this information and could “file” our taxes for us. But the tax prep industry has successfully lobbied to secure it’s place in the consumer economy.
