Poor Tarzan. The latest victim of cancel culture. This was the first adventure comic strip ever, the first of its kind. True, lotsa stories in this was ridiculous, but so are the so called stories of some new comics. And who finds great artwork like this in new ones? Although we can finds this in erbzine, there is no commentary allowed there. Our fun has been taken away from us. Very sad and disappointing.
You think this maybe is amateur theatre? He’s the king. That’s his motivation. All comers are attacked. That’s how it is with lions, tigers and all other critters. The dominant male is always ready to stand and defend. Law of the jungle.
Bloody conflict? That will be a first if Tarzan gets bloody. All those fights with big cats and never so much as a scratch. I think a good way to end this strip would be to see Tarzan in the hospital!
This strip gets LOTS of comments, and lots of ads, too. I don’t know why they’d kill this golden goose. The quality of the artwork is pretty good, which we like, and the plots are stupid, so we enjoy kicking them around, and we get pretty deeply involved. That is assurance that it’ll always be read, and (for us free-loaders at least) lots of ads will be seen.
Another dead lowland Bolgani coming up and then the famous Dum-Dum Dance as seen on “Africa’s Got Talent”! More action in the last two days than the entire Laver tale…..Bundolo Kreegah Akut!
Thank you, Dave. I went to the site and nosing around, I found this bio of ERB. I only knew the outline of his life – that he began writing to amuse himself. I was an adult before I learned that the town of Tarzana (near Los Angeles) was ERB’s ranch named for the character who paid for it! Also, he disliked the Tarzan movies. https://www.edgarriceburroughs.com/erb-biography/

Time for Tarzan to kill at least two maybe three more animals before he gets canceled.

Akut, I don’t want to kill you, but I will. Now, what is your problem? Oh, just want to be a big shot. OK. Die sucker!

Silly ape: bringing bare hands to a knife fight.

So for no good reason, Akut attacks Tarzan when every jungle legend says it’s a very bad idea.
