Reminds me of how a boss explained why he was letting me go – he admitted that he had been sabotaging my projects by taking the people and resources that I was supposed to get and using them on his own projects instead… said it right in front of the HR guy, who rolled his eyes and pretended he didn’t hear it… later, that boss was surprised that we weren’t buddies outside of work anymore…
