UV light below 400 nanometers is what damages your eyes, causing cataracts, followed by macular degeneration.
I’ve already had my cataracts removed, so I decided to be careful with what I have left. I never leave the house without wearing UV 400 sunglasses, even at night, but those night glasses are yellow. They protect me from those very bright blue tinted headlights, and make a major difference.My mother had her cataract surgery many years ago, before we knew about the damages of UV, and within 15 years she was legally blind.
