PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPS – I AM VISION-IMPAIRED AND HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE TINY LITTLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING A MESSAGE – WHEN DID SCHOOLS BEGIN INTRODUCING CHEMISTRY TO THIRD GRADE KIDS? WE USED TO HAVE SCIENCE PROJECTS, WHICH WE DID IN CLASS – AND WE COULD READ SHAKESPEARE BY THE TIME WE WERE IN THIRD GRADE – BUT CHEMISTRY WAS DEFINITELY A SUBJECT WHICH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS STUDIED. ACTUALLY, MY GRANDCHILDREN ATTEND SCHOOL IN CALIFORNIA – WHERE THE SCHOOLS ARE ABOUT AS PROGRESSIVE AS THEY ARE ANYWHERE AND – EVEN IN CALIFORNIA – CHEMISTRY IS A HIGH SCHOOL SUBJECT. ALSO, MY GRANDCHILDREN DIDN’T BEGIN DEALING WITH ROBOTICS UNTIL THEY WERE IN HIGH SCHOOL. HAVE TO FEEL SORRY FOR NANCY! A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, SHE JOINED A ROBOTICS CLUB SHE DIDN’T REALLY LIKE – AND NOW IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK LIKE SHE GOT A LIFE SENTENCE TO THE ROBOTICS CLUB!
Nancy originally tried to get Poochie to eat her chemistry homework packet. But Poochie refused to do so, as there was no nutritional value to such an endeavor. Poochie proceeded to teach Nancy this trick to get rid of the homework packet. Poochie is truly the brains of this operation, and an exceptionally intelligent dog, indeed.
I only hope that the teacher gave Nancy the “chemistry” packet as a total ruse….. and that teacher did so purposefully so that Nancy would engage in an actual hands-on homework assignment (that Nancy didn’t realize) was about the cohesive properties of water and their abilities to hold hydrogen bonds… and was really what the teacher had in mind for the chemistry homework given.
I always like it when the teacher out-maneuvers Nancy. :)

I come back to this strip from time to time to see if the new writer has learned to draw Fritzi’s magnificent tits. Disappointment!
