We used to have a puppy who loved to bite the buds off the tulips. On walks to the mailbox he’d look at the tulips, and look at us and get a sharp “NO”, look both ways again, and then you could actually see him shrug, “Oh, what the heck”, and he’d lunge for a tulip bud!
