Better yet, a plugger still goes through the trouble of looking up the dictionary instead of instant googling.

Too many curmudgeonly and termagant Pluggers got that way by on the job training. Growing old is a full time job that almost everybody gets to work, isnt it? So why do we treat people so badly when we’re all in that exact same business?

And that is usually preceded by the word being used in a sentence by his wife about him.

True enough, but “curmudgeon” is one I learned years ago, applied to an older person in my life at the time.

In the Middle Ages, Termagant or Tervagant was the name given to a god which European Christians believed Muslims worshipped. The word is also used in modern English to mean a violent, overbearing, turbulent, brawling, quarrelsome woman; a virago, shrew, vixen.

I was so happy when I learned that word, I knew one day I would be a curmudgeon. And now I am one.
